Hey friend!!

It's so good to meet you! I'm excited to get to know you better and so blessed to have you in my circle. I love love love getting to build new friendships - one of my fave things of life.

I'm a 20-something south-Jersey girl, grew up in southern New Hampshire and found my favorite home in sunny Austin, Texas. I'm an interior designer by day & oh my goodness does it make it SO hard to bring home all the pillows, throws & pretty things. My hubs, Stan, nearly has a panic attack every time I text him and say, "soooo I have an idea...". We're constantly doing DIY projects, home projects, and loving every minute of it.

I'm a wife to Stan (we'll call him S around here) and fur mama to our Shiba Inu, Kevin, and our tabby cat, Stevie. We absolutely ADORE kiddos but don't have any ourselves yet - stay tuned on that ;)

We have a heart for adoption and the homeless and have an ever-growing desire to serve and find new ways to give abundantly.

I'm a Jesus freak and will shout it from the rooftops. I'm crazy about my Jesus and all He has done in our lives and in our marriage. Saved by grace and learning to love like Jesus around here.

Our Passion Project

Have you ever heard of a passion project?! I bet you've got many and might not even know it yet!

My greatest passion project is my family. I have a deep rooted desire to love on my people well and to serve them wholeheartedly. Stan and I have a heart for adoption, and Lord willing, want to open our home to sweet children who need a family.

We love this verse, "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." - James 1:27

Most of what I do - this blog and my business - are the vessel in which I'm able to make my passion project a reality. The Lord has been so gracious in leading us through open doors and taking us on this amazing path He has for us. My heart's desire is to use the vessels He's given me for Stan and I to be able to adopt fully-funded, to fund other families' adoptions, and to make memories as a family together.

Our Lifestyle Change.

To be entirely blunt with you, I really didn't think I would be sharing this much of my health journey with total strangers. But I truly feel led to be open-handed with my story, and I hope it will encourage and help one of you sweet friends!

Stan walked with me through a health journey that was SO not fun. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder in Oct, 2015 that sent me on a researching frenzy.. Do you know what I mean when say I forgot what it felt like to feel good? If you do, my heart goes out to you. I get what you're feeling. It's scary, it's isolating, and it's frustrating beyond belief.

Thankfully the Lord, in His sweetness, led me to a community of women who are so amazing, supportive, and uplifting. I walked through a journey of changing my diet drastically, exercising more, throwing out nasty products, and using things that actually supported my body in the way it was designed to function. With the help of these amazing women the Lord so graciously placed in my life, I've walked into a season of feeling good for the first time in over 6 years, I'm more myself than I ever have been, I have support, and all I can say is I am so thankful.

If you want in on this sisterhood, read through this, and then shoot me a message so we can link arms and I can walk with you on your journey. Everyone deserves to feel good and to be the best version of themselves. <3

Our Family

Stan and I got married in 2014! Crazy to think we're not newlyweds anymore! We've walked through many amazing, joyful seasons and some tough seasons together, we moved halfway across the country & lived off an air mattress & plastic cups for a month, we've seen God's healing, restoration & blessings in our marriage & life together, and we are so very thankful for where we are now.

Stan and I met on the very first day of college. We became fast friends very quickly, so much so I told him I didn't want to date him because I was so scared of ruining our amazing friendship. Lucky for me, Jesus must have blocked his ears, because he has no recollection of me ever saying that ;) THANK YA JESUS.

Stan wanted to work at a production company called Rooster Teeth ever since middle school - which is why Austin was put on our map. And you know what the crazy thing is?! He got the job! He was there for 3.5 years until God put in on his heart to work at our home church. He's been there since December, 2018 and it has been the most amazing blessing for us!

I'm an interior designer over at Lauren Allyn Interiors, and loving my side hustle over at Honey + Rose Essentials and an etsy store, Honey + Rose Market. We are in a season of thankfulness, and all we can say is thank you Jesus for never-ending, underserving grace.

Now let's be friends - for real.
